Corinne Spickett

Corinne Spickett is a Reader at Aston University, following a move from the University of Strathclyde in January 2011. She trained as a biochemist and has a DPhil from Oxford University. She is the current Treasurer of the Society for Free Radical Research Europe and a member of the Steering Committee of the International HNE-Club, having been its Secretary from 2004 to 2010. Dr Spickett is a Workgroup Leader on the ongoing European COST Action CM1001 on Chemistry of non-enzymatic protein modification. There are two major strands to her research: one is the application of mass spectrometry to analysis of oxidative modifications of phospholipids and proteins; the other is the biological effects of oxidized phospholipids and their role in inflammatory processes.
