Sashwati Roy, PhD is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Ohio State University Columbus Ohio. She received her PhD in 1994 in Physiology and Environmental Sciences. She completed her postdoctoral training from University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include studying the mechanisms of resolution of inflammation in the tissue repair and regeneration, specifically the role of macrophages and miRNA in resolving inflammation during pathological tissue repair such as diabetic wound healing.
Dr. Roy has over 150 peer review publications. She is an expert in significance of inflammation in chronic injury, laser capture microdissection. She has delivered dozens of lectures in International and national levels meeting. Dr. Roy’s research is currently funded by National Institute of Health (NIH) funded to investigate on the role of inflammation in diabetic wounds.
