Pedro Domingues is presently assistant professor at Aveiro mass spectrometry center at University of Aveiro, Portugal. He received his BA in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Coimbra in 1990 and his PhD in Chemistry- Mass Spectrometry at Aveiro University in 2000. He has been working in mass spectrometry applications since 1996. His research is concerned with applications of mass spectrometry for the study of oxidative stress. Main work has been developed in the detection and characterization of free radicals by mass spectrometry, the study of oxidative stress in lipids and phospholipids and amino acids. Currently his special interests are the study and characterization of oxidized peptides and proteins.
