It is our great privilege and honor to invite you to the 17th Biennial Meeting of Society for Free Radical Research International (SFRRI 2014) that will be held at Kyoto International Conference Center (ICCKyoto), March 23-26, 2014. This is the first time we have this meeting in the spring season of Kyoto after the successful 1988 and 2000 meetings that were held in autumn.
The International Scientific Committee (ISC) representing each region of
SFRR, SFRR Asia and the Local Organizing Committee are working hard all
together to develop what we believe will be an exciting and informative
meeting to both young and senior participants.
The congress will include award lectures and symposia on novel aspects of free radical research. All the symposia will be democratically selected after the application during December 2012 and January 2013 by the voting of ISC. Concurrent sessions will address in-depth scientific topics in free radical chemistry, biology and medicine.
It has been our dedicated effort to make the meeting affordable and attractive to young scientists. There will be travel awards and poster awards from each region of SFRR as well as from this conference.
Several satellite meetings are planned in order to allow participants with special interests to meet, exploiting the SFRRI 2014 attendance.
Kyoto has been the capital of Japan for more than 1,000 years till 1868. We have more than 3,000 temples and shrines, so the city is full of traditional Japanese culture, with cherry blossoms presumably in full bloom. We invite you to take part in all the social activities, especially to gala dinner, which will include the Japanese traditional dancing by Maiko and Geiko ladies. We look forward to seeing you in Kyoto in SFRRI 2014.
